Does the Kindle for PC app provide any kind of object model of any kind? Assuming not since the beta version seems to be pretty light on features. So if not, has there been any talk of Amazon adding some kind of OM to the pc app?

it is definitely beta material :(, no dictionary and you can not add notes/mark text in the PC version. All of these are essential, though I really like the idea and I am looking forward to the next release.

Hers how I see this working for me... I cannot afford multiple Kindles for my wife and I so, having our books available online will give us the ability to read at the same time. Doesn't happen all that often because of schedules but enough to make this useful when we just can't put a story down. Thanks for sharing your test run.

I have installed it with the intent of having an option to Barnes & Nobles BN eReader I have been using. The B&N reader in my opinion is a bit better but I've not done an exhaustive comparison. It would be constructive to do so since it is attractive to have both libraries on tap. (now there's a mixed metaphor) I look forward to seeing Amazon's update

I wish they would implement syncing with library of documents on Kindle via Cable since I have a lot of custom made docs on my Kindle.

In this case placing library in the Dropbox folder would solve issue with syncing offline library among multiple computers.
